40.65 percent of the students who sat for the university exit exam scored a passing score!

The Ministry of Education today made an announcement regarding the results of the university exit exam, revealing that only 40.65 percent of the students who participated have achieved a passing score. The state minister of Education, Dr. Samuel Kifle, expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the six-day university exit exam, which took place from June 30, 2015, E.C. onwards.

Initially, there were 240,000 students expected to sit for the exit exam. However, out of this number, a total of 194,239 students qualified and registered for the exam. It is worth noting that 84,627 students hailed from 48 government institutions, while 109,612 students represented 171 private institutions.

Out of the registered candidates, a significant number, comprising 77,981 students from government institutions and 72,203 students from private institutions, totaling 150,184 students, actually took the exam. Among these examinees, 61,054 students, or 40.65 percent, managed to achieve the required passing score.

In addition to the positive results, Minister Samuel Kifle mentioned that the process of distributing the students’ exam results to their respective institutions has already commenced. This step aims to ensure that the institutions promptly receive and evaluate the performance of their students.
